A Birthday

There was a birthday at my house today.  Can you guess whose birthday it was?
Don't let the candles confuse you.

We went out for a lovely dinner with friends and then came home to have coffee and cake.

The roses were beautiful and I think I am going to like my new KindleFire.  And now, I can get my National Park pass.  See you on the road!

  1. We just got our NP passes on this trip to Charleston. When we visited Ft. Moultrie, we could buy them there. My husband has been waiting and waiting to have his in his billfold. Maybe the only perk of old age.

    1. Glad you can get them at 62 and now you can apply by mail in case there is no national park near you. Only the parks that charge admission can issue them. I'm actually looking forward to using them in COE campgrounds who honor them but can't issue them.

  2. Best present ever is that NP pass. You'll be amazed at the amount of money it will save you. But let me tell you, that cake looks wonderful.

  3. Happy, happy birthday!! I'll bet you're going to love that Kindle Fire.

I haven't used my NP pass much, but it sure saved me money when I did! I bought mine as soon as I was legal, even before I bought my motor home. :)

    1. We don't have many NP around here so I'll probably get more use in the COEs.

  4. Happy Birthday. I can assure you that you will enjoy both the Kindle Fire, and the NPS pass. You can also purchase the pass fron National Forest District Offices, if there happens to be one near you.
