Flying Through the Water

We've been doing a lot of swimming this summer and the kids skills are really improving, especially Cameron.  But today was a big day for Morgan.  She wanted to try jumping off the diving board.  First try was a "walk"!

Second try was her version of a cannonball.  Dad and brother were cheering her on in the background.

Cameron decided to work on perfecting his "dive".

Morgan really likes getting to go in the deep end of the pool.  She has no trouble swimming over to the side and climbing out after her jumps.

There is a lot of exuberance going into these efforts.

One more time.

Then Dad had to show them how to set up for a long distance dive.

Cameron lined up for his next dive.

This pool is a geothermal pool which means that it is heated in the winter and cooled in the summer.  Steve tells me that they cool it because so many swim teams practice here and you need to have cool water when you are working hard.  All I can say is that there is just something "wrong" about chilling a pool.

After we finished swimming, we headed over to Hofbrau Beer Garden at Pier Point for a huge pretzel which we all split.
