Happy New Year from the The Traveling Longdogs

Happy New Years from the Traveling Longdogs.  New Years Eve day started out just great. Some longtime friends called and said they were on their way over.  And they were also bringing Owen to have a play date with Willy, Gretchen, and Harley.

Owen is Gretchen's brother which is hilarious because he is a very big dachsie and Gretchen is a petite little girl.  Harley and Owen had a ball tousling with each other.  Willy got in a few moves but he is more of a "watcher" these days.

Gretchen steps into the fray only if she thinks that the boys are getting too rambunctious.  You have no trouble knowing that she is telling them to behave themselves when she steps in.

The humans went out for lunch and had a great visit.  The dachsies had a great visit too.

I have to show you the adorable cookies that Loretta brought over.  They are called "Melting Snowmen"......so adorable!  Good thing I took a picture before the Grandkids came over because they thought they were fantastic so they didn't last long. This is the only "snow" I want to see all winter!

Happy New Year to all of you and may the year bring you only good times and good health!

  2. Our girls don't play too often anymore - old age is setting in. But occasionally they still like to romp with each other. Those cookies are just so cute.
