The Glamour of Mardi Gras

Friday morning, Shirley headed off to New Orleans on the next part of her adventure and the rest of the group headed to Lake Charles to the Mardi Gras Museum of Imperial Calcasieu. The museum is located on the second floor of the Central School Arts and Humanities Center. It houses the largest collection of Mardi Gras in the South and for $5, you can't beat it.

Talk about eye candy. The museum isn't gigantic but it is packed with color and history.

I am going to let the pictures speak for themselves other than to say that the costumes are beautiful and well preserved from many years of Mardi Gras. Adults and children would enjoy taking in this site.

Have you ever seen so much color in one place?
