Wrapping Up Some More Birthdays

Celebrating birthdays is always a fun event. We always wait to celebrate when the grandkids are here too so sometimes we are running a week late but that's okay. Morgan found this birthday hat so now we have a birthday plate and a hat.....the things we do for our kids!

Happy birthday faces all around after a great steak dinner.

Helen was hanging behind taking photos.

Steve wanted a "King Cake" for his birthday too. You have to be born at the right time of the year to have king cakes available.

We were also invited to another birthday party for some friends, Bobby and his older brother Chris. I was there when Bobby was born and we weren't sure he was going to make. Predictions from the doctors were dim but got a little better when he was air evacted to San Antonio. The best estimate was that we would be lucky to have him around to his teens. I'm happy to say that he just celebrated his 33rd birthday. It hasn't always been easy but I think he is going to be celebrating quite a few more birthdays.

Since the party was for both Bobby and Chris, they had a dinner birthday party which included frittilles and manzanita which are Italian favorites. Lots of work for his Mom and Dad but, wow, so very good and a special way to celebrate.

Bobby's sister Amy is the pastry chef at Biga and she made these wonderful chocolate Volcano cakes so we had those as well as strawberry cupcakes.

We've celebrated some great birthdays lately. I hope you have enjoyed some celebrations lately too.

  1. Our birthday month is June. Three of the four boys and one daughter in law. No kings cakes though.
