A Saturday Stroll Through Wimberley

Mary Jane and I made a quick trip up to Wimberley on Saturday for lunch. This is a  pretty short post but you might want to take a look at my posts on the Wimberley boots. Jan 2017  June 2017  June 2017-2.

This has to be one of my very favorite shops in Wimberley. Do not miss it if you are in town.  It is the Senior Citizens Craft Shop. Thirty local seniors make all the items in the shop. The fact that they own the shop and each have to work one day a month there, you will find very reasonable prices for a wide variety of items. Every time you visit, you will find different items.....beautiful, well-made, unique items for yourself or gifts. Be sure to stop by.

We made a stop by the creek. It's a beautiful site and they now have some places to sit in the shade and enjoy it. Hard to believe the damage it did during the last big flood.

This crepe myrtle was blooming like crazy and the one next to it didn't have a single bloom. Go figure.

Checked out some other shops. It was pretty darn hot so we didn't spend as much time as usual.

We enjoyed the visit even though it was shorter than usual. After a cooling ride back towards New Braunfels, we stopped at Gruene for coffee and a trip through the Market Days before heading back to San Antonio.
