These are palmettos.
It is a very small state park. They have one cabin available to rent. From the outside, it looks very nice. I would be a little concerned though as it is located right next to the day use area.
Across from the cabin and the day use area is a small lake with paddle boats and canoes for rent. There is also a little float available for fishing. The tent area is right behind the day use area which is a drawback although the area looks nice. There is water and restrooms available....shared with day use area. It looked there were also two campground hosts onsite.
There is another small RV campground area with 18 sites....electric and water. The sites and roads are small so I wouldn't want to bring a large RV in here.
There are a number of trails located throughout the park.
The civilian conservation corps was at work here many years ago because there is a very nice pavilion.
Again, it is a nice, very small park probably very popular with birders and possibly hikers.
