I missed a whole month of RVing in August and September is rolling past too quickly. The temps are still high but no matter. I almost cancelled this trip due to family health issues but it worked out okay.
I picked up the RV Tuesday afternoon after a doctor's appt for my husband. Wednesday morning, I loaded up and set off for northeast Texas. I left one day early as I wanted to visit an RV park owned and operated by another RVing Women member. I gave Cynthia a call while on the road and she had two spots open.
It's a great little park located in Elkhart TX. Cynthia bought the land, designed the park, and supervised the build so it is definitely a woman owned and operated park. This is the cute little office which also houses a bathroom and laundry room behind the office itself.
Cynthia was a decorator so the park is really nicely laid out. There is lots of shade and the fiberoptic wifi is screaming fast so streaming is definitely allowed.....that is pretty unusual for an RV park.
This small community garden is where guests can help themselves to tomatoes and peppers.
There are two community firepits.
Nice place for your pups to get a drink. They must be on a leash of course.
They will love this cute little dog park just across the bridge. Right now the crick is dry due to our dry weather this summer.
It's nice and shady and there is a bench for the humans while the dogs play.
The park filled up almost as soon as Cynthia opened it a couple of years ago so she purchased the land behind it right through this opening and is adding an additional 30 sites to the current 30 as she definitely wants to welcome overnighters too. There will be additional laundry room, bathrooms, and a community building along with the new sites. The plan right now is to have the new sites operational by 1 December.
This huge semitruck pulled in before I left the next morning.
They were there to unload the new electric posts. Cynthia said they were hard to get but she lucked out and got her order.
They are all stacked up and ready to be installed in the new sites.
I had a great visit with Cynthia. I met both her workcampers who were very nice. (I stopped back by 5 days later on my way through through. The plumber had already been there and laid out the sites and will be setting up the sewer connections in a week. The electrician will be there right after him. The sites and road will be done after that. The buildings will follow a bit later.) Anticipated opening is 1 December.
Thanks for the info
