The Pink FlaminGoes Arrive at Loyd Park

Our Get Together this fall is at Loyd Park on Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie TX. It's a nice park, pretty scenery, quiet. The camping rates are quite reasonable; however, they have an additional $10 vehicle charge which really raises the rate unless you are lucky enough to be a senior which most of us are.

I had a nice site which had a double wide drive. I knew it was in the full sun but that really isn't a problem in November....in fact, I considered it a benefit.

Just up the road from me.....there are Pink FlaminGoes as far as you can see. We have a variety of rigs in our group....all driven by women.

Around the other side of the loop are yet more Pink FlaminGoes.

This cute little Escape is brand new, a delivery from Canada. It's a real cutie.

The cabins even had RV hookups.....maybe they were RV spots that had cabins added.

These ladies snagged a lake front spot. Pretty!

Our hostesses usually arrive in a motorhome but they chose to rent a cabin this time so that we would have an inside place if we needed it. It's easy to see that FlaminGoes are gathered here.

Let me tell you....it wasn't going to be this pretty all week. We had rain in the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Liz and Kim fixed tacos for all on Monday night.

They were good. We had to put jackets on but we all had a great evening.

It was a great start to the week.  More fun to come.

  1. Interesting to see the variety of RV preferences. And with so many FlaminGoes you're bound to have a fun time.
