RV Travel Meetup

Several RVing friends of mine met up in Boerne and headed to the Johnson Creek RV Resort in Ingram to attend the RV Travel Meetup with Chuck Woodbury. Chuck is the longtime editor of the RVTravel newsletter which comes out every Saturday.

There was quite a group of RVers interested in this meetup. We met in the beautiful recreation room at the park.

The décor is really wonderful.

Pretty cool chandeliers.

Not a great picture of Chuck with the backlighting. He had a great slide show about his travels through the years and we all had a great discussion of RV issues afterwards.

The recreation room is all decked out like a western town.

This chapel is available for weddings.

They even had carrots on hand to feed the little horses. Gail and the new vet woman for the newsletter had some great snacks on hand for the humans too,

Four of us came together and we met up with two other RVW members of the Texas Ramblin Roses chapter. All in all, it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Another Day, Another Birthday....Mine

This was not one of those birthdays where you get a "gift" from the government like a National Park Senior Pass or Medicare but it was a great birthday never the less. My DIL Helen fixed a great birthday dinner and then we had cake. Don't worry, nothing was set on fire other than the candles.

You may recognize the family birthday hat. My granddaughter Morgan made sure that the hat and the birthday plate.  Some nice new shirts....

A birthday card from Morgan....

And a very special weenie she crafted herself....

Some cute socks that read "If you can read this" "Bring me some wine"

Some great towels to remind me of camping adventures.

A very unique birthday card that pulled out and played musuc.

And.....a brand new 5th wheel and truck, lol.

There were several other presents like a really nice wallet and some new sneakers. Oh, and let's end with a close up of the newest weenie dog to join our family.

Angus wanted to help clean up after the party. He loves wrapping paper.

February Flies By

Some days it feels like February is flying by and other days it feels like it is dragging. The weather is up and down. Sometimes it is warm and beautiful like the Saturday we went to the Pearl Market days...kids playing in the fountain,

A delicious treat from one of the venders.....

I attended a Brunch of Roses and met a lot of really nice women. That led to another fun thing I did this month.....attend an Texas Ramblin' Roses Rally at Braunig Lake RV Resort.  Texas Ramblin' Roses is the Texas chapter of the RV Women (RVW) group. Photos courtesy of Pat Brown.  It was a large gathering of women and their RVs. Some of the rigs were small but many were large.

Our hostess's outdid themselves.

As a matter of fact, I had so much fun that I joined RVW and the Ramblin' Roses during the rally. I wasn't the only new member. I'm looking forward to many fun rallies in the future.
