Texas style Cadillac leaving the ranch.
They have a big event center next store.
I guess the Beverly Hillbillies must have been here too but we didn't see them.
After we got settled in, we headed out to the famous Cadillac Ranch. We didn't want Carolyn to miss out on any Texas culture, lol.
Carolyn left her message after I assured her that it would be covered in no time.
On the way back into town, we stopped at another RV park to see the display out front.
Each of these Caddys has a "famous" person in them but it was impossible to get a good picture because of the glare.
One of the reasons we stayed at the Big Texan RV Park was because we wanted to have dinner at the Big Texan Restaurant. It is a couple of miles away and they pick you up in one of those Horned Caddys you saw earlier. Well, imagine our dismay when an airport style van with a tiny pair of horns pulled up in front of our RVs. We were incredibly disappointed. On top of that, we had to crawl into the back row of seats because it was full.
This place is more than just a restaurant. Things to see outside and in.
There is even a motel which looks like an old western town on the front.
The things to see don't end outside.
You have plenty of things to look at while you wait for your table. I know almost everyone has heard about the big 72 oz steak that you get free if you can eat it all. Many people are surprised to hear that "all" includes a lot more than the steak.
You can test out your shooting skills at the shooting gallery
A band plays music to entertain you.
You don't have time to get bored while you wait.
And then you order dinner.
The adventure ended well when a big fancy Caddy arrived to take us back to the RV park. All in all, it was a lot of fun and the food was good and not too overpriced.
