Flying Through the French Quarter

Tuesday was our first trip to the French Quarter.....I'm sure it won't be the last.

Lots of carriages and lots of construction going on.

No trip to the French Quarter is complete without a trip here!

First timers! And this was before the beignets arrived.

After the powdered sugar settled.......

This is where the waitstaff gets the goodies....café au lait and beignets.

Kat and Barb said they needed to stop here.

Our group is not shy.

Joan of Arc statue.

Jazz group performing at the Gazebo Café.

Need a new bag anyone?

Touring the Farmers Market.

Carolyn conducting serious negotiations.

We were having fun!

Back at Aunt Sally's picking out those pralines.

More shopping in the Quarter.

You guessed it....it was the Central Grocery. Kat and Barb came out with a backpack of goodies including a muffalatta sandwich.

Jackson Square has some nice benches to stop and enjoy the scenery.

Beautiful French Quarter architecture.
Some of our group never had a hurricane so we had to fix that.

We were a little late meeting the others at the ferry.
