Panama City First Friday Car Show

Friday night we headed to downtown Panama City to attend First Friday.

They block the main street off for blocks and there are lots of people.  I was able to get some pictures before it got dark and before the crowds got too heavy.  You can just see the cars on display angle parked along the street.  You can also see one of several bands set up along the way.

Cars are in all sorts of different categories.  It is just for fun so you never know what you will see.  Here is a car with a "mini me" version on top.

All sorts of cars are not the only unique sites you will see here.  This guy was peddling around through the crowd with the live bird on his head.

The Tin Can Tourists also had a display model.  It was all done in green inside--very nice.  They also had brochures about the organization for people to take.

This truck had a very different box on back.

The kids look pretty small next to "Freaknstein".  There were lots of people wanting their picture in front of this giant.

Somebody brought their tractors in to display.  Usually the owners will set up behind their vehicles so they can answer questions and "bask in the glory".

This time they even had a fencing display going on.

The kids look forward to this but whether that is due to the cars on display, the people on display, the dogs on display, or the kettle corn.  My best guess is the kettle corn.

  2. I belong to the Get'away Gals although I don't have a vintage trailer like many of them do. They really like to trick them out but most of them just campout at get-togethers. I prefer the comforts of my 5th wheel.
