2025-04-12 Big Rocks Park, Glen Rose TX

 Right across from Oakdale is the Big Rocks Park on the Paluxy River. There are walking paths along both sides of the river.

In spite of the big notice at the park regarding organisms that might be health hazards in the non-flowing areas of the river, people were wading and letting their little kids paddle around.

 

Water was flowing in most areas and fishing was popular.

The city even provides free loaner life jackets for kids.
