2024-6-8 Future Brady Museum

We were very fortunate to have a unique experience while in Brady. At some point in the future there will be a very large museum here. One that will rival museums in places like New York. Right now it is in the development stage. We had the opportunity for a private tour because one of our members who wasn't even at the rally had met the daughter of the man who is putting this museum together. she told our friend that if she came to Brady to call her and she would contact her father to let us see it. We didn't know what to expect when he gave us the address and said he would meet us there and open it. The outside of the building was huge and looked like stone. This mural was on the side.

We went into a very huge open space completely filled with beautiful and unique things of all sorts. This is the owner. His name is Charles Troy. He had a rock band years ago. These case held all kinds of beautifully carved ivory.

Some wildlife items are unique.

Many old and very unique guns for display only.

Another wildlife showcase.

Unique displays of Indian clothing.

This dining room set was unique and beautiful but not necessarily comfortable.

This holster set is all beaded.

He told us that this is the dress that Cynthia Ann Parker, mother of Chief Quanah Parker, wore when she returned to white society.

Doc Holliday's medical case.

Collection of spurs.

Louis and Clark.

This wolf was huge.

The first room was as big as a very large gymnasium and completely set up with so many unique displays. There was a second room nearly as big that he was using to sort all kinds of new items. ne side had original art on display. Notice the artist names.

Charles claims to have provenance for all the items he has on display. His plans include adding a three story building which will be attached to the rear of this building. I don't know when this place will actually open. It will probably be a couple of years but it will really put Brady on the map as a big tourist destination. It was amazing to see it all.
