The Longdogs

The Longdogs
Gretchen, Willy, and Harley have all taken their roles as navigator seriously! Now it's Xena's turn with guidance from her role models.

2026-10-15 4th Day at Bastrop

Relaxing with morning coffee.

My table was very colorful this trip. I found and old wall hanging that worked perfectly for a tablecloth.

The rally starts tomorrow afternoon so we decided we should get the canopies up while it was cool.

It was all hands on board for set up.

Three canopies: Teri, Elaine, and Colleen.

Time to relax.

A few more things to set up.

Teri wanted to go to her favorite restaurant.

Carolyn takes pictures of everything.

Happy faces.

Teri had some dental work this morning so she opted for the tuna tower. I had a delicious sesame chicken lunch. I ate the other half of it on another night. Not everyone was thrilled with their choices. Motto: be sure you understand what sushi and sushimi are before you order.

More women were arriving. Charlene joined us today.

I grilled hamburgers for everyone that wanted one that evening.

Kathy brought cheese for the burgers and Karen brought some home cooked beans to add to the feast.

The wind came up later that evening. Now that doesn't bother me in my rig but I was thinking about the 3 canopies. I called Jimmie about 9:30pm and we headed up to the rally site by Elaine and Teri's rigs. Several others showed up to help and the canopies were put down half way so they wouldn't blow away.
