Traveling with the Longdogs: Lubbock RV Park

The last member of the group to arrive came in on Thursday and we all got together to celebrate.

We had happy hour at Sharon's rig. We were happy to see good weather again. Lubbock is famous for wind and dirt in the air.

Everyone brought something to share so we had enough to substitute for a meal.

Sharon had put together little gift packages for us. There were flamingo pens and a flamingo key chain.

There was also a bracelet and some wine goblet markers. And a really neat flamingo bag.

Sharon demonstrated how to fold it up. it's pretty large but folds up into a very compact package.

Fold in thirds lengthwise then fold in quarters until you have a compact package.

All back inside it's little package. A very handy gift indeed.

We arrived at our destination mid-afternoon. Lubbock RV Park is on the north side of town near the airport.

We found our site reservations taped to the door of the office but the manager quickly came out to greet us.

It's a very nice park. There are a number of longer term residents but the whole park is very neat and well taken care of. Nothing looks junky anywhere.

Sharon was there to greet us. She's the hostess for the flocking.

She already had dinner planned and underway. We were all parked in a row of pull-throughs. It's a very small group but we plan to have fun. One more woman arrives tomorrow.
