We left Schertz about 9:00AM for our first stop of the day. Wildseed Farms outside of Fredricksburg was a great stop. We did a tour there. It was a little disappointing to see so few flowers in the fields there but it was a great place to park the RVs.
I unhooked the car when we finished there and we were off for a wildflower tour self-guided of course.
This was Carolyn's first trip to the Willow City Loop several miles north of Fredricksburg on Hwy 16.
See all the boots on the fence posts......the fence stretches a long way.
The flowers did not disappoint.
On the way back to town, we stopped to check out this new business. It's not an RV park where you bring your own RVs.
They had about 6 vintage RVs set up for use. Interesting concept.
We hooked the car back up and were off in the RVs once again. Our stop for dinner and the night was the city park in Ballinger where we parked right next to the river and had a lovely quiet evening.
Carolyn and Mary Jane are on this side and I was on the other side. There are six RV spaces with water and electric here and about that many in a circle in another part of the park.
In the morning, we are off to Lubbock for a Pink FlaminGoes Flocking.
Sounds like great fun. Will miss y’all in Elgin this weekend!
