We filled up four tables. One waitress handled all our tables. She was very good, so organized. The weather was beautiful and we were on the outside patio.Did you notice what they were famous for on the menu? Well, guess what the special was for that day. Yes, chicken fried steak, your choice of two vegetables, Texas toast, and dessert. You'll never guess what everyone ordered.Later that day, it was time for the host planned games......card bingo. I'm not a personal fan of bingo but card bingo is a whole different type of fun. Tables of 4 per deck of cards. And the hosts have all kinds of prizes.
Teri is calling the cards......and she gets them right about 95% of the time, lol.
Pattie graciously models her prize choice.Maritha showed up with a flight of pie that she bought from the pie shop next to Gracie's.Slices were halved and everyone who wanted a piece helped themselves. I still had half my piece of strawberry rhubarb left from Royers yesterday so I passed.
Pattie and Leda brought their propane firepit along so we even had a campfire. There is a burn ban but we checked with the park ranger and propane firepits and grills are allowed. They had several female rangers and they stopped by to see if we needed anything and to visit with us frequently. They expressed interest so they were naturally given an magazine and RVW card.
Another great night with friends to remember. If you weren't here, you really missed a great event.
